Every March, the RCID community comes alive with the smell of sizzling braais and the sound of neighbours connecting! Our annual Street Braai Season takes place over two weekends, giving everyone a chance to host, join in, and mingle with others around the neighbourhood.

It’s all up to you and your street — just roll out a few braais onto the pavement, set up some chairs, tables, or benches, and bring your meat, drinks, and gear. Many families chip in with salads or snacks to share with visitors who pop by. It’s casual, fun, and a fantastic way to meet new faces and catch up with old ones.

We’ve had up to 40 braais happening across the RCID in past years — and we’d love to see even more this time around!
