PARKS

Parks are the heart of any community β€” a place where people can come together, relax, play, and connect with one another. They’re where memories are made and shared! πŸŒ³πŸ’š

The RCID boasts several parks in the area.

Central to the Rondebosch community is the park on the corner of Campground and Sandown roads. It is managed by the City of Cape Town Parks and Recreation Department, and enjoyed for a variety of uses, such as markets, walking, picnicking, and playing.

Friends of Rondebosch Park began in 2017 as an informal collective of interested park neighbours and was formalised in 2023. The aims and objectives of the Friends of Rondebosch Park are to provide a safe and clean natural space, to promote the plants and animals in the Park, and to develop and conserve the Park and its facilities. We liaise closely with the City of Cape Town and our local Ward Councillors.

We would love to have more of the community using the park regularly and would be happy to get your feedback and ideas!

RONDEBOSCH PARK

ROVER PARK

Rover Park is one of the last little green spaces along the Keurboom River, which forms the eastern edge of Rondebosch.

It’s a special spot – take a stroll, soak up the fresh air, and enjoy it! 🌿😊

MAYFIELD PARK

This cosy little park sits at the top of Muir Road, right next to the Mayfield Tennis Club. It’s a great spot for family outings, with a play area for the kids, plenty of shade, and open space to relax.

Dogs are welcome too – just please keep them on a leash when needed, and don’t forget to clean up after them! 🐾🌳😊

KEERT DE KOE PARK

This sweet little park is tucked away along the Black River canal and feels like a hidden gem!

With its beautiful trees and fun play equipment, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxed dog walk or a fun outing with the kids. 🌳🐾πŸŽ
